In short: You can't go wrong with Jami Smith

This CD is the essence of what worship should be. Jami Smith's voice cries out with passion on 12 solid tracks to make Wash Over Me a real gem, for both worship leaders and people who worship in their cars on the way home from work. I can speak from experience on the latter.

The high points, in my opinion, are hard to find. The whole CD really is that good. To pick the ones that typically find itself repeated during my rides home, I would have to choose "Your Love is Deep," and the song that prompted me to buy the CD to start with, "How Great." Both of those songs are simply phenomenal. Humbling, yet uplifting, I find myself again and again brought to focus my heart on a Savior that loves me more than I can imagine. He truly does lavish more on us than we can ever know.

If I were a church worship leader, I would wear these songs out. Every single one. There's a deep longing to know God more reflected here, as well as a beckoning to rest in him in songs like, "Come Unto Me." You see the face and hear the voice of God when Jami Smith sings. Perhaps that is what has garnered her popularity-- Jami has discovered that truly, if Jesus be lifted up, he will indeed draw all men to him. This music definitely lifts him up.
